Clutch bag

The clutch is a perfect accessory for any occasion and season. Caricia Chic yarn offers a soft texture, volume, and a slightly metallic sheen that enhances any outfit.

YOU WILL NEED

Caricia Chic yarn, COL No. 001, 002, 003, 1 skein of each color.
Crochet hook No. 5.5 mm.
Black zipper, 30 cm.
Sewing needle and thread.
Black silk fabric for the lining.
Interfacing.

STITCHES USED

Chain stitch: ch.
Single crochet: sc.
Slip stitch: sl st.
Fancy stitch:

Work in single crochet: 1st row. COL black No. 003. 2nd row. COL mustard No. 002. 3rd row. COL ivory No. 001.

Repeat the sequence until the desired length is obtained.

GAUGE

In single crochet: 10 x 10 cm = 13 sts x 15 rows.

HOW TO MAKE THE CLUTCH?

The clutch is worked from an oval base. You must use the marker to indicate the end of each row. Finish each row by working 1 sl st.

Oval and flap

With Caricia Chic yarn in COL black No. 003, make 38 chains.

1st row. Work sc in all stitches. When you reach the last chain, work 3 sc in the same stitch. Continue working sc in the 38 ch, but on the opposite side. When you reach the end of the row, work 3 sc in the same stitch. You will have 82 stitches.

2nd row. Change to mustard color, No. 002, and increase at the beginning of the row 3 sc in the same stitch. Make increases similarly when reaching the other end. You will have 88 stitches.

Change to ivory color No. 001. Continue working straight in fancy stitch for 21 rows. Work the last row in sl st.

Lining

Cut a rectangle of black silk fabric to size. Cut the interfacing to the same size. Iron both and machine sew the sides, forming a flap.

ASSEMBLY AND FINISHING

Open the zipper, position it, and sew it inside the opening of the clutch. Insert the lining inside out into the clutch (so the seams are not visible). Hand sew. Pin.
