Today we propose a very useful, versatile, and easy-to-knit garment. You only need to follow the steps indicated in this post and choose the yarn in the color you like best. We have opted for some very special, slightly metallic balls of yarn.

YOU WILL NEED:

For a size of: 115 cm long x 40 cm wide.

• Caricia Chic yarn, silver-gray color No. 006, 4 balls.
• Knitting needles No. 4.
• Crochet hook No. 3.
• Tapestry needle.

 

STITCHES USED:

Knit stitch: k st (see tutorial knit stitch)

Purl stitch: p st (see tutorial purl stitch)

Fantasy lace stitch:

Row 1: Begin by working 1 knit st, *yarn over, and 2 stitches together knitwise*, repeat until the end of the row.

Row 2: work all stitches purlwise.

Row 3: 1 knit st, *2 stitches together knitwise, yarn over, 2 knit st*. Repeat from *to* until the end of the row.

Row 4: Repeat Row 2.

Repeat these 4 rows successively until the work measures 115 cm in length.

Edging:

Abbreviations:

Chain: ch.

Single crochet: sc. (see tutorial single crochet)

Double crochet: dc. (see tutorial double crochet)

Slip stitch: sl st.

With the crochet hook

Row 1: *work 1 sc., and then, work 6 ch., skip 4 ch. and work 1 sc*. Repeat from *to* along the seam.

Row 2: work 3 ch., (which replaces the first dc.), 6 dc. by inserting the hook under the chain, 6 ch., sl st. in the 6th dc., 6 dc. through the chain, 1 sc.* repeat until the end of the row.

GAUGE:

In fantasy stitch: 10 X 10 = 22 sts. X 34 rows.

HOW TO MAKE THE SHAWL:

Cast on 78 sts.

Row 1: knit.

With Caricia Chic yarn COL. 006, work in fantasy lace stitch. When you reach 115 cm in length from the beginning of the work, bind off loosely.

FINISHING:

See the chart

Sew according to the chart.

On the resulting seam, work the decorative crochet edging.

Iron with warm heat.
