- 2mm knitting needles

- 8 buttons
STITCHES USED:

HOW TO MAKE THE STRIPED BABY SWEATER?
Front
With Caricia Bebé wool and 2 mm knitting needles, cast on 90 sts. and work 6 rows in stockinette stitch.
On the next row (right side of the work), make the picot edge of the bottom as follows:
Knit two sts together and place the yarn on the right needle, then knit the next two sts together, and repeat this until the end of the row. Then continue in stockinette stitch until the armhole and raglan, which begins at 16 cm.

Here we start with the garter stitch, alternating the two colors (white and grey) and decreasing 1 st at the beginning of each row until a total of 29 sts on each side of the work.

At 29 cm from the beginning, we start shaping the neck. Close the 10 central sts, reserve one part on the needle and continue with the other side, decreasing 4-4-1-1. This finishes one side, and then work the other side that was reserved on the needle in the same way.
Back (make 2)
Cast on 45 sts. To reach the armhole, work the same number of cm as on the front and the raglan decreases the same as the front, but only on one side. Continue the other side straight until the end of the neck, as the sweater will be open at the back.
Work the other side of the back the same way, but in reverse.
Sleeves
Cast on 48 sts. Work 6 rows in rib stitch and on the next row, increase 10 sts evenly distributed along the row. Continue working in stockinette stitch, increasing 5 sts on each side along the sleeve until reaching 16 cm. Here, start the raglan, the same as on the front and back. Work the same number of rows with the same colors and the same decreases. Then close all sts.
ASSEMBLY AND FINISHING
Sew only the four raglan seams to make it easier to finish the neckline. Pick up 74 sts from the neck opening and work 6 rows in garter stitch. Then sew the sides and sleeves.
On the straight part of the center back, pick up 83 sts with the needle and work 8 rows of garter stitch, keeping in mind that one side will have buttonholes (see tutorial on how to make buttonholes) and the other side will have the buttons.
