Men's striped jumper

Stripes are in fashion. Follow the pattern we explain below and you will have a beautiful men's sweater. We leave the colors up to your choice. We have chosen blue and white.

YOU WILL NEED:

• Caricia Rustic cotton in colors 2140 (5 units) and 2155 (5 units)
• 4 mm knitting needles
• Tapestry needle

HOW TO MAKE THE STRIPED MEN'S SWEATER?

Back

With Caricia Rustic cotton and 4 mm knitting needles, cast on 106 sts. and work 10 rows in elastic stitch. Continue in stockinette stitch until it measures 9 cm from the beginning. From here, all stripes will be 9 cm, alternating colors.

At 48 cm from the beginning, shape the armhole. First decrease 3 sts on each side and then decrease 1 st.

At 22 cm from the armhole, start the shoulder. Decrease 7-8-7-8 on both sides and close all remaining sts in one go.

Front

Work the same stitches as the back, the same elastic, and the same cm until the armhole.

For the armhole, first decrease 4 and 1 on both sides. At 15 cm from the armhole, start the neck. First the 10 central sts and continue with one side making the following decreases. After the 10-3-3-2-1-1-1-1. When it measures the same as the back, shape the shoulder.

Then, work the other part in reverse.

Sleeve

Cast on 42 sts and work 10 rows in elastic stitch. Along the sleeve, increase 14 sts on each side distributed over 49 cm until reaching the beginning of the top, which is made as follows:

Decrease 4 sts on each side, then 12 sts, one by one, then 2-2-2-2-2-3-3 and close the remaining sts in one go.

ASSEMBLY AND FINISHING

Before sewing each piece, it is recommended to iron them separately.

Sew the sides and make the neck ribbing. First pick up the front stitches and then the back stitches. Then, sew the shoulders and the neckband.

You will also need to sew the sleeves and attach them to the body, making sure the stripes match.
