PATTERN
This sweater is very easy to make. We will only make two pieces (front and back) and join them at the corresponding places. These pieces have a stitch pattern for which I have provided a chart (A). This stitch pattern must be made of multiples of 8, therefore, whatever width you make for your pieces, remember that they should always be a multiple of 8.
Back
- We will crochet chains until we have a) 54cm b) 62cm c) 68cm d) 72cm. Remember that they should be a multiple of 8 to form the pattern. We will crochet four more chains. - We will start crocheting the stitch pattern (chart A) until we have a) 55cm b) 59cm c) 65cm d) 69cm in length. If you notice, each pattern is made up of two rows, make as many as you need to complete the height in centimeters required for your size. - We will make a round of double crochet stitches all around the back piece and set aside.
Front:
- We will crochet in the same way as the back, starting with chains in multiples of 8 (+4) until we have the width in centimeters corresponding to your size. - We will continue with the chart, working in rows until we ALMOST* have the height in centimeters corresponding to your size.
Shoulders:
- *When you have 7 cm left to reach the total height of the front, we will shape the neckline, which is done as follows: we will continue making the same stitch pattern but only up to the neckline space (you have the measurements in chart B). So, you finish the row, chain 3, turn, and continue making rows until you complete the right shoulder. Do the same for the left shoulder. - We will make a round of double crochet stitches around the front, except for the neckline section, i.e., shoulders, sides, and bottom.
Joins:
- Place the front and back pieces facing each other and join the shoulders and sides with slip stitches or a tapestry needle, leaving a) 18cm b) 20cm c) 22cm d) 25cm unjoined to form the sleeves.
