Crossbody bag colors

This crossbody bag is super easy to make, very versatile, and flattering. We propose a range of colors that combine with everything, ideal for your most casual look.

• Caricia Sport yarn navy blue COL Nº 014, light blue COL Nº 012, natural COL Nº 061, grey COL Nº 042, red COL Nº 052, stone COL Nº 063, red COL Nº 053, green COL Nº 023, pink COL Nº 004, grey COL Nº 041, purple COL Nº 031, grey COL Nº043, bluish-green COL  024.
• Knitting needles Nº 4.5 mm.
• Tapestry needle.
• Horn button.

STITCHES USED

• Garter stitch: garter st (see tutorial garter stitch)
• Striped stitch:

In garter stitch, work two rows of each color following this sequence: Caricia Sport yarn navy blue COL Nº 014, light blue COL Nº 012, natural COL Nº 061, grey COL Nº 042, red COL Nº 052, stone COL Nº 063, red COL Nº 053, green COL Nº 023, pink COL Nº 004, grey COL Nº 041, natural COL Nº 061, purple COL Nº031, grey COL Nº043, light blue COL Nº 012, navy blue COL  014, stone COL 063, bluish-green COL 024, green COL Nº 023, pink COL Nº 004, red COL Nº 052, grey COL Nº 041, red COL Nº 053, natural COL Nº 061, navy blue COL Nº 014. Repeat the sequence until the desired length is reached.

GAUGE

In garter stitch: 10 x 10 cm = 16 sts and 30 rows.

HOW TO MAKE THE BAG

Body

With Caricia Sport navy blue yarn COL Nº 014, cast on 52 stitches and work in garter stitch until you get a length of 66 cm. Bind off.

Fringes

 At each color change and at the beginning of each row, leave a 10 cm long strand (these will be the bag's fringes).

Strap

With Caricia Sport pink yarn COL Nº 005, cast on 164 stitches and work 2 rows in garter stitch, then work 2 rows in light blue COL Nº 012, 2 rows in grey COL Nº 043 and finally, 2 rows in red COL Nº 052. Bind off. To form the fringes of the strap, at the beginning of each color change, leave a 6 cm long strand. Knot the fringes to secure them well.

Loop

With Caricia Sport pink yarn COL Nº 005, cast on 20 stitches and work 2 rows. Continue working with Caricia light blue yarn COL Nº 012, another 2 rows. Bind off.

ASSEMBLY AND FINISHING

Fold transversally, so that the stripes are vertical. Sew the two sides of the edge that has the fringes and also the other two sides, leaving the top opening. Pin. Sew the two ends of the strap to both sides of the top of the bag. To secure the fringes well, tie two small knots every two strands. Sew the loop in the upper center part of the bag. Sew the horn button and fasten.

FINISH
