
Pom-pom hooded scarf
Our task for today is a cheerful and daring one. We suggest knitting a hooded scarf with pompoms of different colors. Children will love the result!
YOU WILL NEED
For 5-year-old size
- Caricia Pom-Pom yarn, Col 005, 3 skeins.
- Knitting needles No. 3.5 mm.
- Tapestry needle.
STITCHES USED
- Moss stitch: *Knit alternating 1 purl stitch, 1 knit stitch. On the next row, knit the purl stitch and purl the knit stitch.*
- Garter stitch (see garter stitch tutorial)
- Rib stitch (see rib stitch tutorial)
HOW TO MAKE THE HOODED SCARF?

Scarf

Cast on 28 stitches and knit 4 rows in rib stitch. Continue knitting in moss stitch, decreasing 1 stitch on both sides in the 1st row. Knit 44 rows in moss stitch, (12 cm) and continue working in garter stitch. At 86 cm from the beginning of the work, continue knitting in moss stitch for 44 rows and finish by casting off with 4 rows in rib stitch, increasing 1 stitch on each side in the 1st row. Bind off.
Hood

Cast on 100 stitches and knit 4 rows in rib stitch. Continue knitting 60 rows in moss stitch (17 cm). Bind off.
ASSEMBLY AND FINISHING

See the chart Fold the hood in half and sew A to A (see tutorial: sewing seams) To attach the hood to the scarf, ease the hood slightly, and sew until it measures approximately 27 cm. (See the chart: sew A to B). It's now ready for your little one to show off! It turned out very original, didn't it?
