DRAWING WITH CROCHET
Today Alba from Albita de Plata shows us two ways to crochet. Each has its details, but the result is beautiful in either. She has embodied them in two cases, one for an iPad and one for a tablet. You can modify these measurements by changing the base stitches or even make other projects by applying these drawing techniques.
YOU WILL NEED
3mm hook
Fiber: Caricia Primavera (1 ball of each color) 001, 016, 002, 014, 012
Tapestry needle

HOW TO MAKE THE TABLET AND IPAD CASES?
Abbreviations
Ch: chain
Sc: single crochet
Sl st: slip stitch
CASE 1 (IPAD - THE GREAT WAVE OFF KANAGAWA)
Measurements: 19 x 26.5cm
I've always been almost obsessed with this Hokusai painting, and I was eager to adapt it to crochet. In this case, the way to draw is through cross-stitch embroidery, meaning we will create a base project, a simple case in the background color, and then embroider the colors on top in cross-stitch.
Case:
R0: 42ch
R1: 84sc
R2 - R64: 84sc
R65: 84sl st
*Work in a spiral, without closing rounds or making turning chains at the beginning of each one.
Once we have the base case, we will refer to the chart and embroider the colors with a tapestry needle in cross-stitch over the single crochets of our project.

CASE 2 (TABLET - SPRING FLOWERS)
Measurements: 18 x 25.5cm
Now for a more aesthetic, floral, spring-like design, with cheerful yet calm colors. As I said before, you can adapt it to your measurements and even make it in the shades you like best. In this case, the drawing method is through the Tapestry technique, which I use a lot. It's a technique I love; it has many possibilities and is very simple to do, you just carry all the colors you're going to be crocheting with at the same time.
Case:
R0: 42ch
R1: 84sc
R2 - R48: 84sc
R49: 84sl st
*Work in a spiral, without closing rounds or making turning chains at the beginning of each one.
*The secondary color, in this case the white flowers, will be introduced into the work in the first round, even if we don't use it yet, so that the entire case will have a more homogeneous texture.
*The single crochets throughout the work will be crocheted into the back loop of the previous single crochet, so they will stack neatly without tending to twist, which is what happens when crocheting in a spiral.

I have lined both cases and added a button and elastic for the closure, but you can finish these details as you like.
