Kids' colorful beanie
Caricia Sport wool is perfect for knitting your hats this season. It's warm and soft. We suggest you make them with a crochet hook: they are easy and quick to work with. Finish them off with a striking Pom-Pom, do you dare to make your own?
YOU WILL NEED:

- Caricia Sport yarn. 3 assorted balls (COL gray Nº 043, COL green Nº 073, COL terracotta Nº 074, COL burgundy Nº 070, COL red Nº 052, COL natural Nº 061 (1 ball of each color)
- Crochet hook Nº 6.
GAUGE:
In stockinette stitch: 10 X 10 cm = 15 sts. X 20 rows.
STITCHES USED:
- Rib stitch (see tutorial rib stitch)
- Stockinette stitch (see tutorial stockinette stitch)
- Striped stitch: Change color every 6 rows. 8 times.
HOW TO MAKE THE HAT?
Cast on 65 sts. and knit in rib stitch for 6 rows. Continue in stockinette stitch, changing color every 6 rows, following the compositional scheme of the striped stitch. I recommend you adjust the hat to the appropriate size for the child.
Close with a tapestry needle and gather. Then tack.
Sew both sides.
POM-POM

To make the pom-pom:
Cut 2 cardboard circles 9 cm in diameter and make a 2 cm diameter hole in the center. Make a cut in both cardboards to pass the wool easily.

Pass the wool through the circle as many times as necessary. The more passes, the more volume it will have.

Carefully cut the wool around the circle.

Insert a strand of wool between the two cardboards, across their entire diameter, and carefully pull tightly, wrap, and tie 2 or 3 times, so that it is well secured. Leave a strand to sew to the hat.

Trim the excess fringe until the pom-pom has a spherical shape. Sew the pom-pom to the hat.
FINISH

Don't you think it's very flattering? We have chosen colors that go with everything. Knit yours and send us photos of the result.
