Girls' marl jersey

STITCHES USED:

HOW TO MAKE THE SWEATER?

Front and back

In this pattern, the front and back are worked the same way.

With Caricia Melange yarn color 004 and knitting needles size 5, cast on 60 sts. Work the first 2 rows in garter stitch. From the 3rd row, work in stockinette stitch.

Armhole

At 28 cm, begin the armhole by decreasing 3 sts on both sides. In the next row, decrease 2 sts on both sides, and in the third row, decrease 1 st on each side.

Continue working straight until you reach 16 cm from the armhole.

Shoulder

At that height, decrease 3 times 3 sts on both sides and 2 sts in the next row on both sides.

Work the remaining sts straight until you reach 12 cm.

Sleeve

Cast on 26 sts. Work 6 rows in rib stitch. Then, increase 8 sts evenly distributed along the entire row. Continue working, increasing a total of 12 sts along the length, which means 6 sts on each side, distributed over 31 cm every six rows.

Crown (Sleeve Cap)

At 31 cm from the beginning, shape the sleeve cap (see below):

Decrease 3 sts on each side. In the next row, decrease 1 st six times on each side, then knit 2 sts on each side; then work 3 sts on each side, and finally 4 sts on each side (always decreasing).

ASSEMBLY AND FINISHING

Sew the two side seams, then the two shoulders, and then the neck.

Fold the neck inward and sew it all around to the inner opening.

Finally, sew the sleeves and attach them to the armhole. Secure.
