HOW TO MAKE THE MINI BLUES SWEATER?

SIZE: 3 MONTHS

STITCHES USED

Mock English rib: On the wrong side of the work, knit 1 st and purl 1 st. The purl stitch is slipped without working, leaving 2 strands on the needle. On the right side row, all stitches are worked as they appear, and then on the purl stitch, the two slipped strands are knitted together.

*FRONT

Cast on 60 sts, knit 6 rows of elastic stitch (1-1), the next row is all purl stitches, and on the following row, start the mock English rib (on the wrong side row). Colors are changed every four rows. At 31 rows (12 cm), shape the armhole and raglan. First, cast off 3 sts on both sides, then decrease 13 sts on each side 1 by 1, and then cast off all remaining sts.

*BACK

Cast on 60 sts and knit the same as the front, until you reach the armhole, which is divided into two parts. One side is put on hold, and the other is finished exactly like the front. Then the other side is finished.

*SLEEVE

Cast on 40 sts, knit 6 rows of elastic stitch the same as the previous ones. Start the color stripes, and every two stripes, increase 1 st at the beginning and at the end of the row. A total of 8 sts on each side. The sleeve measures 16 cm (12 color stripes) until the armhole shaping begins.

*ARMHOLE AND RAGLAN

First, cast off 2 sts on each side, then decrease 16 sts (1 by 1) on both sides. Cast off the remaining stitches. Sew the sides, the sleeve seams, and attach them to the body. On the back neck opening, pick up the necessary stitches to make the band. No buttonholes are needed, as a small button passes through the stitch easily. On the other side of the opening, work 2 rows of crochet slip stitch.
