HOW TO MAKE THE GIRLS' SWEATER WITH RUFFLES?
SIZE: 2 – 3 years DIFFICULTY LEVEL: 3 BACK Cast on 112 sts. Work 1st row knit, 2nd row purl, and 3rd row knit. From here, begin the points. On the right side of the work, all knit stitches. Make 1 stitch, yarn over, knit 3 stitches, knit 2 stitches together, and slip this stitch over the next (this decreases 2 stitches in the center of the point), knit 3 stitches, yarn over, knit 1 stitch, and yarn over. Repeat this operation until the end of the row. The wrong side rows are always purl stitches. These two rows are repeated 6 times, then decrease 10 stitches in the same row and continue with stockinette stitch. ARMHOLE At 22 cm, shape the armhole by decreasing 2 sts, 2 sts, 2 sts, 1 – 1 on both sides. At 5 cm from the armhole, separate into two parts, one part is set aside and we finish one side and then the other. At 12 cm from the armhole, shape the shoulder. SHOULDER Decrease 7 sts, 7 sts, 7 sts, finally bind off the remaining sts. Pick up the reserved sts and finish the other side. FRONT Cast on 127 sts, after making the points the same as the back, decrease 18 sts in 1 row, reach the armhole at the same height as the back. ARMHOLE 4 sts, 2 sts, 2 sts – 1 – 1. At 42 rows (10 cm) begin shaping the neck, binding off 12 central sts and then 5 sts, 4 sts, 2 sts, 2 sts, 1 – 1. Work 2 rows and shape the shoulder, 6 sts, 6 sts, 6 sts, 6 sts. The other side is finished the same way. SLEEVE Cast on 61 sts. After making the points, increase 6 evenly spaced stitches in the same row. The sleeve measures 23 cm to the beginning of the cap, increasing 3 stitches on each side in that space. Begin the cap by decreasing on both sides. First 2 sts, then 11 sts (1 at a time) followed by 2 sts 4 times, and 3 sts 3 times. Then bind off the remaining stitches. RUFFLES Cast on 180 sts. Start the points the same as the previous ones. At 4 rows, bind off the first section of one point on each side and continue and repeat 2 more times on both sides, then continue until the length is the same as the others. Work 8 rows of stockinette stitch. Then bind off all stitches. FINISHING AND ASSEMBLY Sew the side seams, the sleeve seams, and sew them to the body. First, sew the shoulders. Pick up the necessary stitches to make the neckband. It will be stockinette stitch but worked on the wrong side. Gather the ruffles slightly and sew them to the body (see photo). Sew a button on the back at the neck opening.
