Clarifications:
We will work the piece in 6 parts: one front, one back, and two pieces for each sleeve.
We will crochet in rows, meaning we will turn the work at the end of each row and start with one or two chains (depending on the first stitch of the next row).
Each row that begins with sc starts with 1ch that DOES NOT count as the 1st sc of the row.
Each row that begins with dc starts with 2ch that DOES NOT count as the 1st dc of the row.
Series of stitches that are (in parentheses) must be repeated as many times as indicated (e.g., x6).
Series of stitches that are between asterisksmust be repeated until the end of the row.
Size adjustment: It's very easy to adapt to any size. The measurements of my sweater are for a size S, but you just have to adapt it to the size you need, using your model or the table below as a reference.
Repeat this series (5 rows Net stitch + 1 row Popcorn stitch 1 + 5 rows Net stitch + 1 row Popcorn stitch 2) until you reach the desired length, in my case, up to row 33.
34. Net stitch
35. Net stitch
Now we will make the neck/shoulder section, so we will leave 24cm unworked in the center of the piece for the next 3 rows. In my case, I crochet 25 stitches in Net stitch, turn the work, another 25 stitches, turn and return with another 25. If your width is greater, this section of stitches will also be larger. Cut the yarn, attach it to the other end of the piece, and repeat these three short rows of Net stitch for the shoulder.
Back piece pattern:
Repeat the front piece up to row 33. From row 34 to 38, do Net stitch. This piece does not have a neck and shoulder opening; it is all in long rows.
Sleeves (x4): I left a sleeve opening of 18cm, so my pieces will be 18cm high. If your opening is larger or smaller, you will modify the height of these 4 pieces.
-81ch (or more or less depending on the desired sleeve length, but always ensuring it's a multiple of 16 +1) Repeat the front piece pattern up to row 18. We will knit 4 identical pieces. Each sleeve could be made in a single piece if it were the same color, or even make the color change within the same piece, but in this case, I like having the seams at the top and bottom of the sleeve marking the color change.
Finishing and assembly: We will single crochet around the edge of all pieces to join them more easily. I made the joins with a tapestry needle. Join the front and back, leaving an 18cm sleeve opening unjoined, and then sew the already joined sleeve pieces there. Finally, single crochet around the end of each sleeve and half double crochet around the neck opening.
