Skirt
Clarifications:
*Each round starts with 1 sl st that does not count as the 1st sc of the round.
*Each round closes with 1 sl st in the 1st sc of the same round.
*Remember to pay attention to the needle size you need to work with, as the first round is worked with 3.5 and the rest with 4mm.
*The first round is worked along one of the edges of the waistband piece, so that the waistband and skirt are joined.
*It is advisable to have 6 stitch markers on hand, and place one of them in the middle stitch of the 3sc increases in each round to know where to make the increase in the next round.
*In my case, I made increases every 13 stitches in round 2, because it is for size 0-3 months and my round had 84 stitches. If you are working any other size, divide the number of stitches by 6 to make only 6 increases in the entire round, whatever the size.
*The length of this skirt, including the waistband, measures 18cm, because it is for size 0-3 months. If you are making another size, continue making rounds until you get the appropriate measurement: 0/3m - 18cm, 3/6m - 19cm, 6/9m - 20cm, 9/12m - 21cm, 12/18m - 22cm, 18/24m - 23cm.
Pattern:
Needle 3.5mm
R1: 84sc
Needle 4mm
R2: *13sc - 1inc3* Repeat until the end of the round.
R3 - R4: All sc, making an inc3 in each middle sc of the inc3 of the previous round (6inc3 in total)
R5: All sc, making an inc in each middle sc of the inc3 of the previous round (6inc in total)
R5 - R21: All sc (126 sts)
Close with sl st and cut the yarn.
Straps
Clarifications:
*Each round starts with 1ch that does not count as the 1st sl st
*Each strap measures, when stretched, 39cm, because it is for size 0-3 months. If you are making another size, continue making rounds until you get the appropriate measurement: 0/3m - 39cm, 3/6m - 40cm, 6/9m - 41cm, 9/12m - 42cm, 12/18m - 43cm, 18/24m - 44cm.
*Keep in mind that this stitch is elastic, so to fit the shoulders correctly, without stretching, it should measure 4 or 5 cm less than the size measurements you have above. Each of my straps, unstretched, measures 35cm and stretched measures 39cm. Apply this to any size you are going to make.
*When I joined the straps to the waistband of the skirt, I did it leaving 5cm of separation between them at the front, and 3cm of separation at the back. This measurement is for size 0-3 months, add 1cm to each for each size you are going to increase.
*Remember to cross the straps at the back before joining them to the skirt.
Pattern:
Needle 4mm.
R1: 5ch
R2 - R82: 5sl st
Close with a ch and cut the yarn. Repeat the process to make 2 straps in total.
