HOW TO MAKE THE PONCHO-CAPE?

  SIZE M YEARS DIFFICULTY LEVEL: 3   BACK Cast on 108 sts. Work 4 sts knit and 4 sts purl. On the wrong side row, work the stitches as they appear. Every 8 rows, on the right side row, cross the cables. For the group of 4 knit stitches, slip the first 2 stitches and knit the next 2 stitches, then knit the 2 slipped stitches, thus forming the cable. At 50 cm, which is 10 cables, shape the shoulders by decreasing on both sides 7 sts. 7-7-7-7 and 5, finally bind off the remaining stitches. FRONT Cast on 55 sts. Work the cables in the same way and at the same height as the shoulders, simultaneously shaping the neckline by binding off 5-3-3-3-2-2. HOOD Cast on 28 sts. For the cables, use the same stitch distribution. At 22 cm, which is 4 cable crosses, begin decreasing to round the top part, first 3 sts, then 7 times 2 sts. Make 2 pieces the same. Sew the two together, and along the front, pick up the necessary stitches to work 4 rows of elastic stitch (1-1). FINISHING AND SEAMING Sew the side seams and shoulders, and the joined hood is sewn into the neck opening. Make a buttonhole and attach the button for closure.
