STITCHES USED AND ABBREVIATIONS


Garter st: garter stitch (see garter stitch tutorial) St: stitch / Sts: stitches. Rnd: round / Rnds: rounds.
GAUGE
10 sts and 20 rnds make a 10 x 10cm square in garter st.
HOW TO MAKE THE POUF?
Size: 65cm diameter and 20cm high (approx.) Note: This Pouf is knitted with medium tension (depending on your tension, the size of the work will vary). -Rnd 1 and 2: knit 76 sts in garter st. -Rnd 3: knit 60 sts and leave the last 16 sts on the left needle. Turn. -Rnd 4: knit 44 sts and leave the last 16 sts on the left needle. Turn. -Rnd 5 and 6: knit all stitches to the end of the row and turn. -Rnd 7-12: repeat the previous rounds. To finish both sides, insert the knitting needle, picking up 25 sts. -Rnd 13-18: knit in garter st. Then, thread a tapestry needle through the previous 25 sts, pull and gather to close the circle and stitch. Do the same on the opposite side. LINING Cut two circles 70cm in diameter. Machine-sew the 2 circles, leaving 20cm unsewn to insert the filling.
ASSEMBLY AND FINISHING
Sew the side seam (see sew seams tutorial) joining the two parts of the already knitted pouf up to half height. Insert the lining (matching the two openings, lining and cushion), fill and finish sewing (1st the lining and then the cushion). Weave in the ends.
