Knitting needles
There are many types of knitting needles. They come in metal, bamboo, plastic, circular, etc. Depending on the project, stitch, or material you use, you can choose the needles that best suit your tastes and projects.
When we begin to delve into the wonderful world of knitting, we discover that there are as many accessories as projects we want to undertake. One of the main accessories in the handmade world are needles. Below, we describe the most common needles:
Classic needles: The most common are metal. Depending on the materials we want to knit, we will have to use one needle size or another. At Lola y Lana, we usually recommend the most appropriate needle size for the type of yarn and the chosen project.
- Fine yarns: size 2, 2 ½, 3 and 3 ½
- Intermediate yarns: size 4, 4 ½, 5 and 5 ½
- Thick yarns: size 6, 7, 8 and above
Bamboo needles: Some of the most popular today. They are very lightweight, provide a very pleasant feel, and prevent the yarn from slipping too easily.
Circular needles: These are two short needles joined by a nylon cable. They come in different sizes, like regular needles, and are usually used for knitting large garments that other needles would not allow.
Cable needles: These needles serve as support for knitting garments with cables or twists, as they allow us to leave stitches suspended without losing them.

And you, what needles do you usually use? From Lolaylana we recommend buying quality needles and keeping them stored in a case so they don't wear out or get scratched. We already talked about knitting needle cases here.
