We all like our little ones to look smart every day of the week. We carefully choose their "mini outfits" and select each garment with love. And when we have knitting needles in our hands, we make sure to create ideal garments!

And a very, very ideal one is the latest we bring you: An adorable sleeveless vest for little ones aged 3 to 4 years old. Want to know the pattern? Get to work, here it is!

Yarn: 200g Caricia Classic Merino Col.024

Needles: 3.5

Extras: Tapestry needle and 3 buttons

How to make the sleeveless vest?

MEASUREMENTS

Width: 40cm

Length: 42cm

Armhole: 16cm

STITCHES USED

Rib stitch (1-1) changing stitch every 10 rows

Garter stitch for the armhole band, neck, and pockets.

STITCHES USED

Back

Cast on 120 stitches

10 rows of garter stitch and change stitches. Repeat.

Continue this series of 10 rows until it measures 23 cm (about 6 and a half sections).

 

Armhole

Cast off 5 stitches, then 4 stitches, 3 stitches, 2 stitches, and 1 stitch 7 times.

Make 5 and a half sections of 10 rows, which is 18 cm.

 

Shoulder

Cast off 8 stitches and 8 stitches

 

Neck

First cast off 24 central stitches and then 12 stitches on each side of the 24 stitches.

 

Fronts

Cast on 60 stitches.

Repeat the same as for the back until the armhole.

At the same time as starting the armhole, start the neck opening, which will be knitted by decreasing 1 stitch at the beginning of each row. A total of 24 stitches.

The shoulder is knitted the same as on the back piece.

 

Assembly and finishing

With a tapestry needle, join the shoulders and, before sewing the sides, pick up the necessary stitches from the armhole and neck.

For the armhole, make 6 rows of garter stitch and for the neck, make 8 rows.

On one side of the front, make 3 buttonholes.

Sew the sides and attach the buttons.

For the pockets, cast on 16 stitches and make 10 rows.

Cast off and sew.
