NORDICXMAS CUSHION

These festive days of celebrations and reunions, we can not only surprise our guests with a table full of food, but also with every decorative element we have at home. Today we bring you a very Christmassy and personal one that everyone is sure to love: the NordicXmas cushion, knitted with Caricia Classic Merino yarn, featuring a beautiful reindeer design and super soft to the touch.

Hook: 3.5mm

HOW TO MAKE THE NORDICXMAS CUSHION?

Stitches used

ch: chain

sc: single crochet

Clarifications

- The cushion measurements are 45x45cm

- We will make a single crochet piece, which we will then sew to a cushion cover. Optionally, you can make two identical pieces and create the complete cover, without needing to use a cushion insert.

- We will work in rows, always making one chain at the beginning of each row (which will not count as a stitch) and turning the work.

- The design is made in cross stitch, creating the chart in crosses over the main piece, once it is finished. Optionally, you can do it in “Tapestry,” knitting the design into the main piece at the same time.

Pattern

Start with 76 ch (+1 for height).

As you can see, the rows repeat in sets of 4. Continue with this 8-row sequence until you have a total of 76 rows. Make a chain and cut the yarn.

Now we have the main piece. On top of it, we sew the design with color 501 by making crosses with a tapestry needle over the stitches of this piece as shown in the chart.

Once the complete piece with the design is finished, sew it to a 45x45cm cushion cover or knit another identical piece (but without a design) and form the complete cover.
