Crochet hat
Boshi means hat in Japanese, and it has become fashionable to call them that in our country as well. They are made with a crochet hook and always have a pompom on top. Do you dare to make yours?
YOU WILL NEED:

- Caricia Boshi Wool (kit)
- 3 assorted skeins
- Crochet hook No. 6.
GAUGE:
In double crochet: 10 x 10 cm = 10 sts x 6 rows.
STITCHES USED:
- Stitch: st.
- Slip stitch: sl st.
- Double crochet: dc.
- Striped stitch: *in dc., work each row. in a different color*
HOW TO MAKE THE BOSHI HAT?

- Begin by working a magic ring of 12 dc stitches. Begin each row. with 3 ch. (equivalent to 1 dc.)
- For the striped stitch, we begin working as follows:

- 1st row. *Work 1 st. and make 2 dc. in the next stitch.*, repeat from *to* until the end of the row. (18 sts.)
- 2nd row. *Work 1 dc. and make 2 dc in the next stitch,* repeat from* to* until the end of the row.(27 sts.)
- 3rd row. *Work 2 dc. and 2 dc. in the next stitch,* repeat from *to* until the end of the row. (36 sts.)
- 4th row. *Work 3 dc. and make 2 dc. in the next stitch,* repeat from *to* until the end of the row. (45 sts.)
- 5th row. *Work 3 dc and 2 dc in the next stitch* repeat from *to* until the end of the row. (56 sts.)
Continue without increases (56 sts.)
At 21 cm in length, close with sl st (slip stitch) and finish the work.
HOW TO MAKE THE POM-POM?

- To make the pompom, we will use the 3 leftover skeins of yarn, thus achieving a tricolor pompom.
- Cut 2 cardboard circles 9 cm in diameter and make a 3 cm diameter hole in the center. Make a cut in both pieces of cardboard to easily pass the yarn through.
- Place a strand of yarn with a loop between the two cardboard pieces, which will be used later to embrace and shape our pompom.
- With each skein, pass the yarn through the circle as many times as necessary. The more passes, the plumper and more striking it will be!
- Carefully cut the yarn around the circle.
- Carefully take the strand we placed between the 2 cardboard pieces, pull tight, hug and tie 2 or 3 times, so that it is well secured. Leave a strand to sew to the hat.
- Trim the excess fringe until the pompom has a spherical shape.
ASSEMBLY AND FINISHING
Finish and secure all the threads inside the hat. Sew the pompom to the top of the hat and... there you have it!

Forget about being cold this autumn-winter. Show off your hat to your friends. And if you go to the snow, always take it with you!
Furthermore, if you wish, you can create other designs. Instead of one row. of each color, you can make 2 rows. of one color, 3 rows. of another, make the pompom in a single color, etc. Let your imagination run wild!
