BLANKET ÁNGELA
Today we bring you the Angela Blanket, one of the projects that participated in our "Take your passion for knitting further" challenge.
Its author, Caritina, wanted to be inspired by the most beautiful and sweet childhood memories, by the garments that grandmothers knit for their grandchildren and that remain in the family generation after generation.
Undoubtedly a very special project that she wanted to share with everyone. Do you dare to make your own?
YOU WILL NEED:
9 balls of Caricia Nube color 004 (100gr - 100m)
6.5 mm circular needles and 1 meter cable
Stitch counter and stitch markers (optional)
Tapestry needle

HOW TO MAKE THE ANGELA BLANKET
STITCHES USED
gs = garter stitch
k = knit stitch or stockinette stitch
sk2p = slip 1, knit 2 together, pass slipped stitch over
yo = yarn over
PATTERN
Cast on 131 stitches and knit as follows or follow the chart shown below:
R1: 10 sts - yo - *5 sts - sk2p - 5 sts - yo - 1 st - yo* - 5 sts - sk2p - 5 sts - yo - 10 sts (* to * repeat 7 times). In total we should have the same pattern repeated 8 times between the beginning and end borders.
R2 and all even rows: knit all stitches except the first 10 and the last 10 stitches, which are knitted in garter stitch (10 gs, 110 k, 10 gs)
R3-R19 (odd rows): follow the R1 chart
R20: knit all stitches on the wrong side to form the first wave
R21: follow the R1 chart
R22: knit all stitches on the wrong side to form the second wave
Repeat the previous 22-row sequence 9 times. After this, knit 10 rows in garter stitch and bind off. This will result in a blanket measuring 130cm x 90 cm.
