• Chain stitch: ch st.
• Double crochet: dc. (see tutorial double crochet)

HOW TO MAKE THE "YOU AND ME"?

Rectangular placemat

With Caricia cotton yarn, COLOR No. 306, cast on 103 chains and work as follows: See diagram to make your "You and Me" crochet.

Fantasy stitch 1: 1st row: *3 dc, 1 ch*, repeat until the end of the row. 2nd row and all even rows begin by making 4 ch and then 3 dc inserting the hook under the ch, 1 ch*, repeat, following the diagram. 3rd row and all odd rows: *3 ch, (replaces 1dc), 2 dc, 1 ch, 3 dc, inserting the hook under the ch, 1 ch*, repeat, according to the diagram. Repeat this sequence, following the pattern in the diagram. Fantasy stitch 2: 1st row and all subsequent rows: *1 dc, 1 ch*, repeat according to the diagram.

 

FINISHING

Finish both placemats by working 1 sc around. Point. Once finished, starch and iron with warm heat.
